June - Anything Goes at Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Penny Black Saturday Challenge for June is Anything Goes with optional twist - Masculine

I used a Penny Black stencil and some embossing paste on watercolour paper.  When that was dry I misted with some sparkly spray, then used a wet paintbrush to pick up Festive Berries and Peacock Feathers distress inks and add them to the piece.  I white embossed the Penny Black sentiment onto some Vellum and die cut a Penny Black poinsettia from some wood effect paper, adding the distress inks to the edges.  I then die cut the piece with Penny Black Vintage Frames and added some Nuovo drops.

I can't wait to see what you create for this month's challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge it's Anything Goes and the optional extra is to use your favourite Penny Black Stamp.

I don't think I could choose just one as my favourite, but this is the one I wanted to play with.  Inked with watercolour markers, spritzed then stamped and using a brush to move colour around, then clear embossing before using distress ink and a script stamp for the bacvkground.  Using the same marker that was used for the flowers I made a backing card for the image which was cut using Vintage Frames.  I added a chipboard sentiment and some microbeads.

Do you have a favourite Penny Black stamp?  If so we'd love to see what you do with it over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge April

April's Challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Anything Goes with optional twist ... Spring Flowers.

Using a MISTI I stamped these Penny Black flowers with black Archival ink then stamped again with Versamark before clear embossing the image.  I then misted the watercolour paper with water before using watercolours to colour the image and background.  Some splatters and Nuovo drops to finish. The sentiment is also from Penny Black.

Hope you will join us this month at Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Easter or Chocolate Brown

Welcome to March's challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge, and the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist - Easter or Chcolate Brown

I inked up the lanterns stamp with waterolour markers and stamped on watercolour paper then used a brush and water to move colour aruond.  I used coloured pencils to add a bit more definition before cutting around the image and sticking to some Lemoncraft patterned paper.  I added some leafy die cuts, a foam handmade flower, muslin, twine, pearls and a computer generated sentiment.

Hoping to see your creations over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Anything Goes ... With a Twist at Penny Black Saturday Challenge

I'm absolutely thrilled to say I have been accepted to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Design Team!  The themes will always be Anything Goes with an occasional optional twist, and for February the twist is Use Some Scraps.

I had some very pretty glitter paper scraps lying around from Christmas crafting so I paper pieced the balloon in the cute Penny Black stamp.  The cat was coloured with Copics and the sentiment is also Penny Black.

The paper pack is from Dealz and I added some Nuvo Drops.  I popped up the stitched square on foam strips to make a little frame for the image.

I hope you'll join in the fun this month at Penny Black Saturday Challenge and check out the lovely designs my team mates have created!

See you mid-month with some more inspiration ...

Christmas Heart with Foamiran Flowers

I had a lot of fun with this wooden heart bought in The Works, Athlone for 1.50.  I used a Tim Holtz stencil and texture paste, when that was dry I sprinkled Turquoise brusho powder and sprayed with water.  Loved this.  I found a Stampendous stamped panel in the perfect colour that I had never used and stuck that down before gluing down some cheesecloth.

The flowers were made with Foamiran from 14 Craft Bar.  Assorted die cuts from silver glitter paper, and added twine, pearls and diamante

I'd like to enter this into:
